Hiking Boots Reviews

The ever-increasing popularity of hiking means there are literally thousands of pairs of boots to choose from, which can make searching for the right pair for you more than a little stressful.

Welcome!

Rugged Feet is a site dedicated to helping people who are already “out there” or want to get out there more find answers and information that will help them do it. In a world dominated by screen time one of the best ways to keep your sanity is to spend more time in nature. I salute you for making the effort to do so!

The kinds of questions you can expect to find answers to here are things like which hiking boots will be the best for a given style of hike or location? How should I pick boots, break them in, and take care of them? Some of the answers will be general in nature and some will include opinions that is what I discovered in my own research. In cases where there is a specific pair of boots or some other gear that stands out I’ll try to link directly to a place where you can buy one for yourself.

Another purpose of this site is to give me an outlet to write about hikes I go on, what I think about hiking with my family, post pictures from local trails and in I suppose rather sad fashion yell out to the world that I exist! Please forgive the indulgence on my part. On the bright side, the personal posts and writing are unlikely to turn up in search engine results anyway so no one will see my words on those topics. Or at least very rarely. Most of my hiking during the summer take place in Utah where I currently live. In the winter the adventures will take place wherever I can find weather good enough to get out there!

Thank you for visiting Rugged Feet. I hope that you found what you are looking for and if you didn’t let me know. I’ll chase down the answer to your question and post it for you. (And for everyone else who likely has the same question in their mind.) If you find any information here that is out of date or isn’t right also please let me know. I hate it when I find old information online or mistakes. So, don’t worry about hurting my feelings. Let me know!
